You’ve probably received many notices already about what various companies are doing and what precautions are being taken during this unprecedented time. It was only last week that we were all making very different plans - just ask the Oilers! But this moment in time calls for resilience. We Edmontonians are a strong bunch, and we know that we will meet whatever challenges lie ahead and get through it. Which brings us to a couple things...

All of us are thinking about the health and well-being of friends and family and doing what ever is required to keep everyone safe and happy. Like many of you, we’re also thinking about how this will effect our business and about how our ‘work family’ will cope - those people who count on us for their livelihoods.

Over the last week, most events or group gatherings that we were scheduled to cater have been postponed or cancelled. Yes, it’s devastating... but we understand and respect every client for doing the right thing. We realized very quickly that this isn’t just about us, this effects everybody - which got us thinking... tough times happen, and the best thing to do to get through setbacks is to take action.

So we’re taking all this nervous energy and putting it to work. Awhile ago we had an idea to make healthy heat & eat take out meals for 2, and now, with your support, it seems like the perfect time to do it. As one of Edmonton’s largest caterers, we have a huge commercial grade kitchen, industrial cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and a talented team of culinary professionals trained to prepare meals to the highest standards of hygiene, food safety and of course - deliciousness. We can put our team and facility to good use by making prepared meals that people can heat and eat at home. Available with same or next day delivery or curb-side pick-up with ‘White Glove Service’ (latex gloves).

Introducing, Mercer’s to go. Each prepared entrée is $20 and serves two people (that’s less than the price of two ‘burger meal deals’). This new program is aimed at accomplishing two things:

1) It provides Edmontonians with a healthy and delicious heat & eat meal option for people who can’t leave their homes or want to avoid going out.

2) By ordering a heat & eat meal or two (or ten), you’re helping keep our amazing team employed and working.

Nobody knows what the future brings - but in the meantime, we hope you’ll order a few entrées, enjoy our healthy delicious food, and join us in our commitment to resilience, hope, and being proud members of this big family we call Edmonton. Together, we will get through this.

PLEASE NOTE: We’re getting our online payment system set up, but in the meantime, we take Visa or MasterCard payments over the phone, and require payment in advance to avoid contact with mobile debit payment machines being passed back and forth. Our team of drivers follow our already strict hygiene protocols and wear latex gloves, they will ring your doorbell and leave your bagged order outside your door - no contact, and no need for tipping.

1/ Smoked Brisket Con Carne

Topped with cheddar and jalapeno. Served with corn bread muffin.

Reheating instructions:  Pre heat oven to 375F. Brisket Con Carne: Take off the lid and heat for 45 minutes from frozen. Corn Bread: Defrost first and heat up for 5 minutes.

2/ Poultry pot pie

Served with parsnips and fresh sage. Topped with puff pastry.

Yogurt flat bread filled with fresh spinach and mint, topped with Zaatar and feta cheese. Served with Tzatziki sauce.

5/ Vegetarian Savoury Crepe

Filled crepes with ricotta, spinach, and mushroom fillings. Topped with tomato sauce and cheese.
